Three days are enough to discover the best of Marrakech, as long as you plan well. Here is a simple itinerary, ideal with a rental car for trips outside the city.
Day 1: the Medina
Start with the Koutoubia, then wander through the souks to Jemaa el-Fna square, especially lively in the evening. Bring comfortable shoes: the Medina is best explored on foot.
Day 2: gardens and modern districts
The Majorelle Garden and the Gueliz district show another side of the city. In the afternoon, relax by the pool of your apartment in the Palmeraie.
Day 3: a getaway outside the city
With a car, head to the Ourika valley and the Atlas foothills, or to the Agafay desert for sunset. The most motivated can drive on to Essaouira and its Atlantic coast.
